The ASSOCIAÇÃO DAS FAMÍLIAS DOS DIPLOMATAS PORTUGUESES is organizing a course on music appreciation – “SABER OUVIR” (HOW TO LISTEN), starting mid-October.

The course is given by Professor and Composer João Madureira and consists of six talks.
During the first part of the talk he will address the various musical forms of European music during the 18th and 19th centuries and its structure – period, motif, theme, and so on. During the second part of each session, his lessons will be complemented by a musical audition illustrating baroque, classic and romantic music.

The talks will take place during 6 consecutive weeks, one every week with a duration of 90 minutes each.

The cost of the full course is Euros 90,- and it will be given in Portuguese.
